Activision has announced the original Verdansk map for Call of Duty: Warzone will be returning to the Battle Royale title on 3rd April 2025, as part of its fifth anniversary festivities. The firm says it’s “time to revisit a place of unforgettable memories”, as Verdansk is the place most Warzone players will have gotten their start with the game in and likely built up the most map knowledge of. A teaser trailer for the update can be viewed above.
Memorable locations like the Superstore have been available in time-limited modes throughout the game’s lifespan, letting players reminisce about the game’s best days in short stints. Now, the entire original map will return for play in Battle Royale. As Charlie Intel points out, the trailer also confirms weapons like the HDR and Kilo will return from 3rd April also.
The day also marks the beginning of Season 3 for Warzone and Black Ops 6, so Verdansk will be joined by new maps, weapons, a Battle Pass, and more. Activision stated it’s “taking the time to deliver a great experience” when it delayed the third season of content out of March.
