Split Fiction Fixes Numerous Mission Bugs In Update 1.400; Full Patch Notes Listed

Split Fiction developer Hazelight Studios has released a new patch for the critically acclaimed co-op title, which come with some fixes for various missions. For example, Royal Palace’s puzzle involving the rolling wheel has been fixed, while the Down the Rabbit Hole’s magnetised harpoon featured a bug regarding camera sensitivity settings that now has been ironed out. Split Fiction was released in early March 2025 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, and you can read our full verdict on the game here. Hazelight announced on March 13 that Split Fiction had moved two million copies after just one week, having previously drummed up one million copies in 48 hours.

  • Fix the rolling wheel in “Royal Palace” not moving fast enough to complete the puzzle when playing with more than 150 FPS
  • Fix the magnetized harpoon in “Down the Rabbit Hole” not taking into account camera sensitivity settings for aiming
  • Fix not being able to stand inside the big pots in “The Legend of the Sandfish” (very important for immersion)
  • Fix several minor visual glitches and pops visible during online play
  • Improve the tutorial prompts in “Walking Stick of Doom” to be more clear about available actions
  • Various localization and subtitle fixes across all languages
