When we do our indie game roundups here at Pure Xbox every month, we try and pick out some of the most notable new releases, but there’s never enough room to highlight all of them – and Sledders is a perfect example in March.
Truth be told, we’d never heard of Sledders until this week, but it’s apparently a game that’s got a lot of hype behind it, as evidenced by a post on the official Sledders Facebook that has over 1K likes, 350 comments and 200 shares!
So, what is this game and why is it so popular? We can’t really find an explanation for the latter, aside from the fact that the PC early access release has received “overwhelmingly positive” reviews since it launched in December of 2023.
It also just looks and sounds really cool! It’s got open-world elements, there’s multiplayer… we’re digging it!
“Shred your sled in open-world backcountries. Sledders is a realistic, physics-based snowmobile simulator. Manoeuvre the big open terrain, plow through tons of fresh snow, conquer the mountains, and reach the peak faster than your friends!
Sit back, relax, and enjoy as you rip around on one of the sleds speeding between trees and throwing it around at the ridges. The limits are only set by you so let loose and show us what you can accomplish!”
It’s been mentioned that the Xbox release of Sledders on March 20th will also add more snowmobiles, full crossplay support and the “biggest update ever” for the game so far, so it should become even better when it arrives on console!
If you’re liking the look of it, Sledders will be available for $34.99 when it releases on Xbox tomorrow.
