Vessels of Decay combines three elements we can’t help but be immediately drawn to: a post-apocalyptic setting, gorgeous pixel art and animation, and nightmarish creatures inspired by Scandinavian myth. This heady mix will take the form of an action adventure game, and it’s coming to PS5 and PS4 in 2025.
Players will follow the bleak tale of Freya and Mud as they trudge across a blasted, hand-crafted landscape, dispatching all kinds of nightmarish abominations in dynamic combat. Boss encounters will be multi-stage affairs, requiring both wits and reflexes honed to a razor’s edge to overcome.
