Dead Rails Classes Tier List
Classes aren’t mandatory to play Dead Rails. All players begin with ‘No Class’, taking only the trusty shovel into each new game. That said, your survival odds increase if you and your fellow teammates have some additional support from purchasing a Class and utilizing its better starting equipment.
S-TIER
The best starting classes! These offer great enhancements for a reasonable price and benefit the player and their teammates to ensure survivability and a win!
- Doctor
- Price: 15 Bonds
- Items: Shovel, x2 Bandages, x2 Snake Oil
- Alamao
- Price: 50 Bonds
- Items: x1 Helmet, x3 Metal Sheet, x3 Barbed Wire, Shovel.
- Cowboy
- Price: 50 Bonds
- Items: x2 Revolver Ammo, x1 Saddle, x1 Shovel, x1 Revolver
A-TIER
These classes are fantastic, but fall short on being the best due to their lack of versatility. Still, choosing this class over those in the lower tier makes for a solid start.
- Ironclad
- Price: 100 Bonds
- Items: x1 Helmet, x1 Chestplate, x1 Left Shoulder Armour, x1 Right Shoulder Armour, Shovel.
- -20% movement speed
- Vampire
- Price: 75
- Items: x1 Vampire Knife
- x1 Shovel
- Survivalist
- Price: 75 Bonds
- Items: x1 Shovel, x1 Tomahawk
B-TIER
Simply average. These classes aren’t the best, but are decent if you have the Bonds to spare and want an upgrade from the beginning classes!
- Arsonist
- Price: 20 Bonds
- Items: x4 Molotov, Shovel.
- High Roller
- Price: 50 Bonds
- Items: x1 Shovel
- Priest
- Price: 75 Bonds
- Items: x2 Crucifix, x2 Holy Water, x1 Shovel
C-TIER
The niche choices amongst all classes. Those in their tier benefit a small percentage of players and are tricky to main. That said, any class is better than none!
- Miner
- Price: 15 Bonds
- Items: Shovel, x1 Mining Helmet, x2 Coal, x1 Pickaxe
- Conductor
- Price: 50 Bonds
- Items: x2 Coal
- Zombie
- Cost: 75 Bonds
- Items: x1 Shovel
D-TIER
A tier reserved for the lonesome beginning class… The classless!
